By the end of this lesson
- Stop correctly at the end of a verse
- Read al-Fātiḥah slowly and accurately
- Know what to practise next
Three stopping rules
- The last vowel becomes a sukūn: نَسْتَعِينُ → nastaʻīn.
- Tanwīn fatḥah becomes a long ā: عَلِيمًا → ʻalīmā.
- Tāʼ marbūṭah (ة) becomes a soft hāʼ: رَحْمَةٌ → raḥmah.
Now read al-Fātiḥah one verse at a time. Read each one slowly three times. Every rule you've learned appears here.
