Who we are

SimplyQuran is a trading name of A&R Online Education LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12722020), registered office 31 Trevor Roper Close, Ilford, IG1 3FA. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at salam@simplyquran.com or 020 8146 0515.

What we collect and why

• Booking a trial lesson: your first name, email, mobile number, who the lessons are for (and a child's age range, if relevant), your starting level, whether you are a brother or sister (so we can match a teacher of the same gender), and the times that suit you. We use this to arrange and deliver your trial lesson. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
• Lessons and payment: if you continue, we use your details to schedule lessons and send payment links. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details. Lawful basis: contract.
• Advert and visit information: the advert or link you arrived from (for example a Google Ads click ID or campaign tags). We use this to understand which adverts lead to bookings. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, and your cookie choices where cookies are involved.

Cookies

Essential storage keeps the site and booking form working. Analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google Ads) cookies are only set if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We use Google Consent Mode, so when you decline, Google tags do not set cookies.

Who we share it with

Teachers who deliver your lessons (your name, level and lesson times); our email and data providers who store booking requests on our behalf; Google (analytics and advert measurement, if you allow it); Stripe (payments); Zoom (lessons); and WhatsApp (to arrange lessons, if you give us your number). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Trial requests that don't lead to lessons are deleted after 12 months. Student records are kept while you study with us and for up to 6 years afterwards for accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email salam@simplyquran.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
